Physical Description

Kazuma is slightly above average height for a Miqo'te like himself. His build tends towards the thinner and scrawnier, but his fairly decently toned muscles convey an athletic nature that tends towards a compromise between raw strength and acrobatics. Kazuma's tail is rather thin and long, nearly rat-like if viewed negatively.His striking white hair runs with a few silver streaks, neither a sign of age nor stress and simply how it always has been. His hair has never quite sat in place properly, and tends to rest in clearly visible layers. The fur on his ears and tail grow similarly colored, though unlike his hair, his fur is thin and short, though indeed still very soft.

Equipment Description

While he has a variety of clothes for different circumstances and climates, the most frequently seen of Kazuma's outfits is a rugged, but lightweight, tunic and trousers dyed a brilliant red. Over the tunic he wears a leather vest and cotton shawl. Most notable is the bandolier, belt, and messenger bag that he carries who knows all what within.
His sword accompanies him almost everywhere, regardless of outfit. It's a strange blade, a one handed sword built with a fine electrum blade on, strangely, the hilt of an old and battered Immortal Flames claymore. Despite seeming unwieldy, this Frankenstein sword allows Kazuma a great deal of flexibility in his approach to combat as it can be swung with one or both hands.
Of late, he's taken to tying up his hair rather than keeping it cut short. Supporting this is a simple leather circlet, clasped with a much fancier silver brooch adorned with a fading yellow Chocobo feather.

Common

  • Kazuma tailors his own clothing, even if its mostly altering existing pieces. All for that modern, stylish adventurer look. Maybe you need the help of an adventurer, maybe you just want to ask something about his clothes, be that how he comes up with such good ideas or why he'd willingly go out in public looking that way. Either's fine!

  • Bored and looking for a duel? Kazuma is almost always up for a fight, especially of late. If you've got a weapon, or heck even just your fists, he'd be interested in going a few rounds with you.

  • Leading off the last one, he's keen to learn how to use weapons other than his trusty sword, as well as at least improving his understanding of magic, if not his ability with it.

  • He spends a lot of time out in the deserts of Thanalan, be that for hunting or gathering herbs. You might bump into him out there.

  • He spends a lot of time idling or jogging around Ul’Dah, and is always happy to have company.

Uncommon

  • Up until a few years ago he was often seen causing trouble in the backstreets of Ul'Dah with his brother, getting into fights and committing petty crime. You might know him from those days, for better or worse.

  • He grew up in one of the refugee camps outside of the city, he's at least mostly aware of folks from there, and loves to catch up.

  • Maybe you have a question about his sword, odd for a civilian to be carrying around a blade that looks to be salvaged from a Flames issue twohander with an expensive electrum blade that’s quite short for it.

  • Despite being at least slightly educated, Kazuma's still not exactly the most well-read Miqo'te. If you look even slightly educated, he might have a few questions for you about matters ranging from aetherial manipulation to teamaking.

  • An adventurer by trade, you might have happened to pick up the same guildhest as him. Maybe you'll have a pleasant or harrowing adventure? (Adventure RP is something that I've not had too much experience with, apologies in advance if things get a bit messy.)

  • Despite his bravado, he clearly is on edge around anyone with firearms. Unless he's steeled and ready to go, the sound of gunfire leaves him reeling.

Rare

  • Were you at the Battle of Carteaneu, or served in the Flames before it? Maybe you met Private Allison, and notice the striking similarity between the two of them. (Do let me know with a tell beforehand if you're interested in this one.)

  • Maybe the make of his sword isn’t strange to you, but those inclined might sense a faint aetherial signature of an ashkin somewhere about it. Perhaps he’s just been busy tomb raiding…

Hi there! I've always been pretty awful at talking about myself, so we'll keep this brief.I'm currently in my mid twenties, and I've done various kinds of forum RP for about ten years. Though I've only been doing RP in this game for a little more than half a year now.RP limits wise, I'm not interested in ERP, and I'd rather avoid anything that kills Kazuma or messes him up too badly unless there's a whole lot of build-up to it and I've got a plan for it. He's at least got to live to grow from his mistakes, you know?I try my best to adapt my pace to who I'm RPing with, so while I prefer/have a bad tendency to write longer posts don't feel intimidated by that.My schedule is a bit of a mess, but should stabilize out to the evenings on EST soon, with any luck. At times I'm a bit spotty playing ffxiv/rping in general, but if we end up having long term interactions I'm happy to pass out my discord where I'm generally available 24/7 even if not on game. Apologies if I don't send too many messages at first, DMs are always stressful for me.
